Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY RADIATOR GRILLE Is the radiator on a vehicle with a radar unit installed?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Replace the radiator grille on the vehicle with a radar unit, then go to Step 9.
2	VERIFY AREA AROUND RADIATOR GRILLE ORNAMENT Visually inspect the surface of the radiator grille ornament. Under the following conditions? Dirt is adhering to radiator grille ornament Foreign matter (reflective object) is adhering to radiator grille ornament Radiator grille ornament is scratched or damaged	Yes	Return the surfaces of the radiator grille ornament to their normal condition, then go to Step 9.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY AREA AROUND RADAR UNIT Remove front bumper. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) Visually inspect the surface of the radar unit. Under the following conditions? Dirt is adhering to radar unit Foreign matter (reflective object) is adhering to radar unit Radar unit is scratched or damaged	Yes	Return the radar unit to their normal condition, then go to Step 9.
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY LCD Is the message indicating "SBS, MRCC Radar blocked" displayed in the LCD in the instrument cluster?	Yes	Switch the ignition off (LOCK), leave it for 30 min to cool down the radar unit, switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) again, and verify the message indicating "SBS, MRCC, Radar blocked" in the LCD. "SBS, MRCC Radar blocked" is not displayed Go to the next step. "SBS, MRCC Radar blocked" is displayed Replace radar unit, then go to Step 9. (See RADAR UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	VERIFY RADAR UNIT BRACKET Verify that there is no bending or damage on the radar unit bracket. Is there bending or damage on the radar unit bracket?	Yes	Replace the radar unit bracket and perform the aiming adjustment. (See RADAR UNIT DISASSMBLY/ASSEMBLY .) (See RADAR UNIT AIMING .) Then go to Step 9.
5		No	Go to the next step.
6	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION FOR DSC HU/CM Perform the DSC HU/CM DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .) Then go to Step 9.
6		No	Go to the next step.
7	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION FOR SAS CONTROL MODULE Perform the SAS control module DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) (See DTC INSPECTION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) (See DTC TABLE [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) Then go to Step 9.
7		No	Go to the next step.
8	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION FOR RADAR UNIT Perform the radar unit DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [RADAR UNIT] .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [RADAR UNIT] .) Then go to the next step.
8		No	Go to the next step.
9	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear radar unit DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [RADAR UNIT] .) Switch the ignition ON (engine on). Perform the radar unit DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [RADAR UNIT] .) Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step 1. If the malfunction does not recur, go to the next step. If the malfunction recurs, replace the radar unit. (See RADAR UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) Go to the next step.
9		No	Go to the next step.
10	VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT Verify other DTCs displayed. Are any other DTCs output?	Yes	Perform the corresponding DTC inspection.
10		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
