Radar Unit Removal/Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Mazda CX-5. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING:
  • If the radar unit is installed at an incorrect angle, the radar unit cannot detect obstructions and the system may not operate normally. When installing the radar unit, verify that there is no damage or deformation to the installation part (shroud panel) and perform the installation correctly.
  • If the radar unit (front bumper, radiator grille) gets hit, the radar unit angle could change and obstructions cannot be detected correctly which could result in an accident. In this case, always verify the DTC, perform the radar unit aiming adjustment, and verify that the installation angle is deviated. (See RADAR UNIT AIMING .)
