USB Port Inspection

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Grove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Selector lever knob (ATX) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift lever knob (MTX) (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R] .)
- Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear console (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Insert the pins to positions UA', UB', UC', and UD' shown in the figure from the side of the USB device insertion area for the external input unit, and verify the continuity at the insertion side and terminal side of the USB device.
- Verify that the continuity at the insertion side and terminal side of the USB device is as indicated in the table.NOTE:
- When inspecting the USB device insertion side, touch it with a paper clip or similar thin pin without directly inserting a tester into the terminals.
- If not as indicated in the table, replace the external input unit.
