Decoration Panel Removal/Installation

CAUTION:

If the decoration panel is removed at the wrong angle, the center ventilator grille may detach from the decoration panel and the engagement area may be damaged. Remove the decoration panel by pulling it straight to the vehicle rear.

Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
Remove the glove compartment. (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Affix protective tape to the position shown in the figure.

Insert your hand through the glove compartment opening and press the clip shown in the figure to detach the clip from the dashboard.

Insert the decoration panel in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3), (4) and (5) shown in the figure and detach clips A and B from the dashboard.

NOTE:
- After removing the decoration panel, verify that the center ventilator grille is not detached. If the center ventilator grille is detached, install it to the decoration panel.
Disconnect the hazard switch connector.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
