DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY IF CD PLAYER TEMPERATURE WAS TEMPORARILY HIGH Leave the vehicle in a cool location for 30 min or more. Clear the DTC for the CD player. (See CLEARING DTC [AUDIO] .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on). Perform the DTC inspection for CD player. (See DTC INSPECTION [AUDIO] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Go to Step 3.
2	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear the DTC for the CD player. (See CLEARING DTC [AUDIO] .) Perform a CD inspection using the diagnostic assist function. (See DIAGNOSTIC ASSIST FUNCTION [AUDIO] .) Perform the DTC inspection for CD player. (See DTC INSPECTION [AUDIO] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the CD player, then go to the next step. (See CD PLAYER REMOVAL .) (See CD PLAYER INSTALLATION .)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY OTHER DTCs Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [AUDIO] .)
3	VERIFY OTHER DTCs Are any other DTCs displayed?	No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
