Windshield Wiper Motor Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Windshield wiper arm and blade (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Front fender molding (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Cowl grille (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Center cowl grille (See CENTER COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    CAUTION:
    • If the windshield wiper motor is removed without affixing masking tape to the windshield, the motor may contact the windshield and damage it. Always affix masking tape along the edge of the windshield when removing the windshield wiper motor.
  3. Affix masking tape to the position shown in the figure.

  4. Disconnect windshield wiper motor connector.
  5. Remove the bolts.

  6. Move the windshield wiper motor in the direction shown by the arrow, remove the rubber which is securing the motor from the bracket, then remove the windshield wiper motor.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
