Starter Removal/Installation: Notes

WARNING:
- Remove and install alt parts when fee engine is cold, otherwise they can cause severe burns or serious input.
- When the battery cables are connected, touching the vehicle body with starter terminal B will generate sparks. This can cause personal injury, fire, and damage to the electrical components. Always disconnect the negative battery cable before performing the following operation.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the air cleaner, air hose and fresh air duct component. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor. (See MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.STARTER PARTS REFERENCE CHART
