Front Oil Seal Replacement: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  3. Remove the dipstick.
  4. Remove the spark plugs. (See SPARK PLUG REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  5. Remove the cylinder head cover. (See CYLINDER HEAD COVER INSTALLATION NOTE ).
  6. Remove the drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT ).
  7. Remove the front drive shaft (RH) from the joint shaft. (See FRONT DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3, L3 WITH TC] ).
  8. Remove the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.

    (See CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).

  9. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
