Pinpoint Test I : Shift Solenoid "D" - Electronic SELECTABLE One-Way Clutch

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Refer to Transmission Controls - 8F57 for schematic and connector information.

    Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The D solenoid is an electric solenoid mounted directly on the electronic selectable one-way clutch assembly. The electronic SOWC clutch, prevents backward rotation of R2, C3 and C4; by deployment of a electrically controlled strut that when deployed prevents forward rotation of R2, C3 and C4. REFER to: Transmission Description - System Operation and Component Description .

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
PCM P0768:00 Shift Solenoid "D" Electrical: No Sub Type Information This DTC indicates an electrical fault in the electronic selectable one-way clutch solenoid.
PCM P0769:00 Shift Solenoid "D" Intermittent: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets if the PCM detects an electrical issue but the event didn't last long enough to identify a specific fault.
PCM P097D:00 Shift Solenoid "D" Control Circuit/Open: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets if the PCM detects an open circuit.
PCM P0983:00 Shift Solenoid "D" Control Circuit High: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets if the PCM detects a high voltage in one of the control circuits.
