Halfshaft Seal LH: Installation

NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of corrosion and foreign material.
Clean and inspect the halfshaft seal surface for damage or debris.
- Using the special tools, install a new halfshaft seal. Use Special Service Tool: 307-671 Installer, Axle Seal, 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) Handle.

NOTE: Do not fully install halfshaft at this time.
Using part: 97ZT-7M181-A.Insert the splines of the halfshaft through the halfshaft seal. Remove the special tool.

NOTE: Insert halfshaft until circlip is fully seated. When checking if circlip is seated do not pull on CV joints or damage can result.
Insert the halfshaft until the halfshaft retaining clip is fully seated.
- Position the ball joint into the wheel knuckle and install a new ball joint pinch bolt and nut.
Torque: 61 lb.ft (83 Nm)
- Position the brake hose and install the brake hose bracket bolt.
Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
- Install the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
- Check the transmission fluid level. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Level Check .
