Test AE: Low Tire Pressure Warning Always On Or Flashing

Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. LOW TIRE PRESSURE warning light should illuminate and then turn off after a few seconds. If light does not operate as specified, go to next step. If light operates as specified, go to step 4 .
If light stay on continuously, go to next step. If light is never on, perform TEST AF: LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT NEVER ON .
Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect low tire pressure module harness connector C927. Remove low tire pressure warning light blub. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 4 (Black/Yellow wire) at low tire pressure module harness connector C927. See Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to step 6 . If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Black/Yellow wire.
Check tire pressure. If tire pressure is okay, go to next step. If tire pressure is incorrect, adjust tire pressure as necessary.

NOTE: Perform this step on each tire one at a time.

Adjust tire pressure on one tire to 5 psi. Test drive vehicle for 2 minutes at 10 MPH. Low tire pressure warning light should flash and LOW TIRE PRESSURE should be displayed in message center. Adjust pressure in same tire to 15 psi. Test drive vehicle for 2 minutes at 10 MPH. Low tire pressure warning light should stay on and LOW TIRE PRESSURE should not be displayed in message center. Adjust pressure in same tire to normal operating pressure. Test drive vehicle for 2 minutes at 10 MPH. Low tire pressure warning light should stay off and LOW TIRE PRESSURE should not be displayed in message center. If no warning is given for any tire, replace low tire pressure module. If warning operates properly on any tire, replace appropriate low tire pressure sensor(s). If only low tire pressure warning light does not operate properly, go to step 6 . If only message center does not operate properly, perform TEST U: MESSAGE CENTER NOT OPERATING PROPERLY (DTCS B1205, B1208, B1209 & B1212) .
Disconnect all low tire pressure module harness connectors. Inspect for corrosion and pushed out pins. Reconnect all low tire pressure module harness connectors, ensuring they are connected correctly. Operate system to verify if concern is still present. If concern is still present, replace low tire pressure module. If concern is not present, system is operating correctly at this time. Clear DTCs and retest system operation.
