Diagnosis By Symptom

Not all problems will have an associated DTC. In such cases, see SYSTEM TEST INDEX TABLE or SYMPTOM INDEX TABLE, then perform appropriate SYSTEM TEST.

Fuel Gauge Inaccurate (1)

Tachometer Inaccurate, Erratic, Or Does Not Indicate (1)(4)
Transmission Range Indicator Never/Always On (1)
(1) Perform RETRIEVING CODES and ON-DEMAND SELF-TEST. See the MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article.
(2) After repairing DTC, or if no DTC, go to SYSTEM TEST E  .
(3) After repairing DTC, or if no DTC, go to SYSTEM TEST H  .
(4) After repairing DTC, or if no DTC, go to SYSTEM TEST J  .
