System Test E: Temperature Gauge Inaccurate

  1. Perform ON-DEMAND SELF-TEST. See MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article. If vehicle passes, go to next step. If vehicle does not pass, repair data link circuit. See MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article.
  2. Ensure coolant temperature is 176-224°F (80-107°C). If centerline of temperature gauge pointer is between bottom of "N" and top of "O" in word NORMAL on gauge, system is okay. If pointer is elsewhere, replace EIC.
