Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [03/2024 - ]

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [03/2024 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [03/2024 - ]

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [03/2024 - ]

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [03/2024 - ]

  6. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID

      *1 No. 1 Transmission Oil Filler Tube - -
      1. Remove the refill plug and gasket from the automatic transaxle case sub-assembly.
      2. Using a 10 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the overflow plug and gasket from the transaxle housing.
      3. Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube from the transaxle housing and drain the automatic transaxle fluid.
      4. Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, install the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube to the transaxle housing.

        Torque: 1.7 N.m (17 kgf/cm, 15 in.lbf) 

      5. Using a 10 mm hexagon socket wrench, temporarily install the gasket and overflow plug to the transaxle housing.

        HINT: 

        Reuse the old gasket as the overflow plug will be removed again to adjust the automatic transaxle fluid level.

      6. Temporarily install the gasket and refill plug to automatic transaxle case sub-assembly.

        HINT: 

        Reuse the old gasket as the refill plug will be removed again to adjust the automatic transaxle fluid level.

  7. REMOVE VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (for Active Control Engine Mount System) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  9. DISCONNECT VACUUM HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  10. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
  11. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  12. SEPARATE OIL COOLER UNION SUB-ASSEMBLY

  13. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CASE SIDE COVER

  14. REMOVE TRANSMISSION WIRE

      1. Disengage the claw, rotate the lever and disconnect the transmission wire connector.
      2. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the transmission wire from the solenoid lock plate.
      3. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the 7 solenoid valve connectors using the procedure shown in the illustration.
      4. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the solenoid valve connector using the procedure shown in the illustration.
      5. Disconnect the 9 solenoid valve connectors.
