Disassembly [09/2023 - 12/2023] : Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [09/2023 - ]
  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (for HEV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER (for HEV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    for T24A-FTS Gasoline Model:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

    for T24A-FTS 1Motor-HEV Model:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST COVER

  6. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL

      1. Apply protective tape to the rear door trim board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
      2. Using a moulding remover, disengage the clip and claw.
      3. Disconnect the 2 connectors to remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.
  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Remove the 2 screws.

      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2) - -
      1. Apply protective tape to the rear door panel as shown in the illustration.
      2. Disengage the 10 clips as shown in the illustration.
      3. Disengage the 3 claws and guide.
      4. Disconnect the connector.
      5. Disconnect the connector.
      6. Disconnect the rear door inside locking cable assembly as shown in the illustration to remove the rear door trim board sub-assembly.
  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  12. REMOVE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  13. REMOVE REAR CURTAIN SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Sunshade)

  14. REMOVE CURTAIN HOOK (w/ Sunshade) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for both curtain hooks.

      Insert Screwdriver Here Remove in this Direction
      1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, push out the pin as shown in the illustration.
      2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the pin.
      3. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the 2 curtain hooks.

      *a Double-sided Tape - -
      1. Using a clip remover with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 3 clips.
      2. Disengage the 25 clips and separate the double-sided tape to remove the rear door weatherstrip.

      1. Connect the rear power window regulator switch assembly.
      2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and turn the ignition switch to ON.
      3. Move the rear door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen and turn the ignition switch off.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
      2. Disconnect the rear power window regulator switch assembly.
      3. Remove the 2 bolts.
        NOTE:

        After the bolts are removed, do not allow the rear door glass sub-assembly to fall.

      4. Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the rear door glass sub-assembly.

  33. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY WITH CABLE 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11
  34. REMOVE DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

      *1 Rod *2 Snap
      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Disconnect the connector.
      2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the 2 screws.

        HINT: 

        The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly.

      3. Disengage the snap as shown in the illustration to disconnect the rod.
      4. Remove the rear door outside handle assembly as shown in the illustration.

      1. Using a clip remover with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 9 clips and separate the 2 pieces of double-sided tape to remove the rear door No. 3 weatherstrip.
