Removal [09/2023 - 12/2023]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [09/2023 - ]
  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (for HEV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER (for HEV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    For T24A-FTS Gasoline Model:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

    For T24A-FTS 1Motor-HEV Model:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK CONTROL BELLCRANK SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  10. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY WITH CABLE

      *a Release Plate - -
      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.
      2. Move the rear door lock with motor assembly downward to disconnect it from the release plate of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly, and remove the rear door lock with motor assembly with cable.
  12. REMOVE DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL 

    HINT: 

    When reusing the rear door lock with motor assembly.

  13. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.
      2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear door lock cover sub-assembly.
  14. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
