Removal [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - 10/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 09/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [11/2017 - 10/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2018 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2022 - ]

  4. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2017 - 10/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2018 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2022 - ]

  5. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  7. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

  8. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps.

    2. Remove the terminal cap.
    3. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.
    4. Disconnect the generator assembly connector.
    5. Disengage the 4 wire harness clamps.
    6. Remove the 2 bolts and generator assembly.

    7. Remove the 3 bolts and 2 wire harness clamp brackets from the generator assembly.
