- REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR

- REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE (for 2WD)

- REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER LH (for Full Cover Type)

- REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER RH (for Full Cover Type)

- REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE

- DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR CONNECTOR
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Rear Catalyst)
- for Bank 1:
- Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor grommet from the vehicle body.

- for Bank 2 (for 2WD):
- Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor grommet from the vehicle body.

- for Bank 2 (for AWD with Front Floor Cover LH):
- Disconnect the 6 clips and remove the front floor cover LH from the vehicle body.

- Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor grommet from the vehicle body.

- Disengage the 3 clamps.
- for Bank 2 (for AWD without Front Floor Cover LH):
- Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor grommet from the vehicle body.

- Disengage the 4 clamps.
- Remove the 4 bolts and 4 nuts to disconnect the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst).

- Remove the 4 bolts, 4 compression springs and front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst).

- Remove the 4 exhaust pipe gaskets from the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst).
- REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 exhaust pipe support bracket sub-assembly from the automatic transmission with transfer assembly.

- REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for AWD)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE
- Remove the engine oil level dipstick.

- Remove the bolt and No. 2 engine oil level dipstick guide from the camshaft housing sub-assembly RH.
- Remove the O-ring from the No. 2 engine oil level dipstick guide.
- REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (TWC: Front Catalyst)
- Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 6 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH (TWC: Front Catalyst).
