Removal [10/2015 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2017 - ]
- REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [10/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [11/2017 - ]
- REMOVE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY (for High Pressure)
Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]
- DISCONNECT NO. 4 VENTILATION HOSE

- REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Intake Side)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Exhaust Side)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE
- Disconnect the 4 connectors.
- Pull up the lock lever while pushing the lock on the lever to disconnect the ECM connector.NOTE:
After disconnecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the connectors.
- Remove the nut and disconnect the engine wire.
- Disengage the claw and disconnect the engine wire from the engine room relay block.

Bolt Nut Connector - Remove the bolt and 3 nuts.
- Disengage the clamp and disconnect the 5 connectors.
- for Engine Upper Side:
- Disconnect the 4 connectors.
- REMOVE NO. 1 TURBO WATER PIPE

- DISCONNECT NO. 3 VENTILATION HOSE

- REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 3 nuts and 19 bolts.
Bolt Nut - Using a screwdriver wrapped in protective tape, remove the timing chain cover assembly by prying the points shown in the illustration.
*a Protective Tape - - NOTE:Do not damage the contacting surfaces of the timing chain cover assembly, camshaft housing sub-assembly, cylinder head sub-assembly, stiffening crankcase assembly and cylinder block sub-assembly.
- Remove the No. 2 oil strainer gasket and oil pump gasket from the stiffening crankcase assembly.
*1 No. 2 Oil Strainer Gasket *2 Oil Pump Gasket *3 Gasket - Remove the gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
- Remove the 3 nuts and 19 bolts.
- REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL SEAL
