Removal [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [11/2017 - 10/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2018 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2017 - 10/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2018 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2022 - ]

  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  7. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  2

  8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [11/2017 - 11/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [11/2019 - ]

  9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2017 - 11/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2019 - ]

  10. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the upper radiator support.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator assembly and water inlet.

  12. DISCONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the cooling fan ECU connector.

    2. Disengage the 7 clamps to disconnect the engine room main wire from the upper radiator support.
  13. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the radiator reserve tank hose from the radiator assembly.

      *1 Radiator Reserve Tank Hose
      *2 Outlet Radiator Reserve Tank Hose
    2. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the radiator reserve tank hose from the fan shroud assembly.
    3. Slide the clip and disconnect the outlet radiator reserve tank hose from the radiator pipe.
    4. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the outlet radiator reserve tank hose from the fan shroud assembly.
    5. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the radiator reserve tank assembly from the fan shroud assembly.
  14. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose sub-assembly from the radiator hose clamp.

    2. Remove the radiator hose clamp from the fan shroud assembly.
    3. Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 2 radiator hose sub-assembly from the radiator assembly and water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
  15. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

    1. Disconnect the 2 horn connectors and smog ventilation sensor connector.
    2. Disengage the 5 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the upper radiator support.

    3. Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support.

  16. SEPARATE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to separate the cooler condenser assembly from the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly or radiator assembly when separating the cooler condenser assembly.

  17. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT

    1. Remove the engine room ECU outlet duct from the fan shroud assembly.
  18. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the radiator assembly with the fan shroud assembly from the vehicle body.
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when removing the radiator assembly.

    2. Disengage the 3 claws.

    3. Disengage the 3 guides to remove the fan shroud assembly from the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the fan shroud assembly.

  19. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator assembly.
  20. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Remove the 2 lower radiator supports from the radiator assembly.
