1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly to remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

1. Disengage the 2 clamps.

2. Remove the 2 clips.

3. Disengage the clamp to remove the hood lock release lever protector.

1. Disconnect the connector.

2. Remove the 3 bolts.
3. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly to remove the hood lock assembly.

1. Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly.

   HINT: 

   Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment.

2. Pull out the hood lock control cable assembly through the grommet as shown in the illustration.

   HINT: 

   Leave the string inside the grommet.

3. Disconnect the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.
4. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 clamps.

   *a	Clamp	-	-

   HINT: 

   Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment to remove it.
