Disassembly [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [12/2023 - ]
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE REAR DOOR UPPER TRIM COVER LH

      1. Using a moulding remover A, detach the claw to remove the rear door upper trim cover LH.
  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST COVER LH

      1. Using a moulding remover A, remove the rear door armrest cover LH.
  5. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

    Remove any remaining butyl tape from the rear door panel.

  13. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Peel back the rear door weatherstrip LH until the installation screw can be seen.
      2. Remove the screw.
      3. Remove the 2 bolts and rear door window division bar sub-assembly LH.

  17. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Move in this Direction - -
      1. Connect the connector.
      2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and turn the ignition switch to ON.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2023 - ]

      3. Move the rear door glass sub-assembly LH to the bottom position.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

        Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

      2. Disconnect the connector.
      3. Separate the rear door glass sub-assembly LH from the rear door window regulator assembly.
      4. Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the rear door glass sub-assembly LH.

  18. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY

  19. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK CHILD PROTECTION COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  20. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH

  21. REMOVE DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18
  22. REMOVE CURTAIN HOOK LH (w/ Sunshade)

      *A w/ Entry and Start System - -
      Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2)
      1. w/ Entry and Start System:

        Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and pull up the connector cover as shown in the illustration.

      2. w/ Entry and Start System:

        Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disconnect the connector.

      3. Detach the claw and move the holder as shown in the illustration.
      4. Remove the rear door outside handle assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
  24. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER LH

      1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the "TORX" screw.
      2. Detach the claw and remove the rear door outside handle cover LH.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. w/ Entry and Start System:

        Detach the clamp.

      2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw.
        NOTE:

        The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH.

      3. Detach the claw and guide to remove the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

  35. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    NOTE:

    When removing the rear door weatherstrip LH, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the rear door weatherstrip LH using a heat light.

    Rear Door Weatherstrip LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    Do not heat the rear door weatherstrip LH excessively.

      Double-sided Tape - -
      1. Heat the adhesive of the rear door weatherstrip LH using a heat light.
      2. Detach the double-sided Tape and clip to remove the rear door weatherstrip LH.
  36. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 2 WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    NOTE:

    When removing the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip LH, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip LH using a heat light.

      1. Heat the adhesive of the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip LH using a heat light.
      2. Detach the double-sided Tape and clip to remove the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip LH.
  37. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 3 WEATHERSTRIP LH (w/ Weatherstrip) 
    NOTE:

    When removing the rear door No. 3 weatherstrip LH, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the rear door No. 3 weatherstrip LH using a heat light.

      2. Detach the double-sided Tape and clip to remove the rear door No. 3 weatherstrip LH.
