Removal [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [12/2023 - ]
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE REAR DOOR UPPER TRIM COVER LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST COVER LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
  5. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR BELT SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10
  10. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13
  13. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  14. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  15. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17
  16. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK CHILD PROTECTION COVER LH

  17. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 "TORX" screws.
      2. Move the rear door lock assembly LH downward as shown in the illustration to disconnect it from the release plate of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH, and remove rear door lock assembly LH.
  18. REMOVE DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL 
    NOTE:

    When reusing a removed rear door lock assembly, replace the door lock wiring harness seal with a new one.

  19. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw as shown in the illustration.
      2. Detach the guide to remove the rear door lock cover sub-assembly.

  21. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY LH
