Removal [03/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [05/2023 - 09/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [05/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [05/2023 - ]

  4. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [05/2023 - ]

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 2 PCV HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 3 PCV HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  8. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [05/2023 - 09/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [09/2023 - ]

  9. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 
    1. Release the fan and generator V belt tension by turning the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly counterclockwise and remove the fan and generator V belt from the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.

      Turn in this Direction
      NOTE:

      Left-hand thread pulley set bolts are used so loosen the pulley set bolts by turning clockwise.

    2. Rotate the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly counterclockwise to align the holes and then insert a 5 mm bi-hexagon wrench to secure the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly in place.

    3. Remove the fan and generator V belt.
