Removal [05/2023 - 09/2023]: Procedure

- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - ]
- REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSS MEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
- REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSS MEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

- REMOVE AIR CLEANER WITH ELEMENT ASSEMBLY RH

- REMOVE AIR CLEANER WITH ELEMENT ASSEMBLY LH

- REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE
- REMOVE INTAKE AIR SOUND CREATOR
- REMOVE NO. 2 INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE CLAMP
- REMOVE PURGE VSV

- REMOVE INJECTOR DRIVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14
- DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE
- Remove the 2 bolts and 4 nuts.
Bolt Nut Connector Fuel Tube Sub-assembly - Detach the 4 clamps.
- Disconnect the 17 connectors.
- Detach the fuel tube sub-assembly from the engine wire.
- Remove the 2 bolts and nut.
Bolt Connector Nut - Detach the 4 clamps.
- Disconnect the 5 connectors.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
Bolt Connector - Detach the 6 clamps.
- Disconnect the 7 connectors.
- Remove the 2 bolts and 4 nuts.
- DISCONNECT NO. 5 ENGINE WIRE
- DISCONNECT VACUUM HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE
- DISCONNECT PCV HOSE
- REMOVE INJECTOR DRIVER BRACKET
- REMOVE WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose from the water by-pass pipe sub-assembly.
*1 Heater Water Inlet Hose *2 Heater Water Outlet Hose *3 No. 3 Water By-pass Hose *4 Water By-pass Hose *5 No. 5 Water By-pass Hose - Slide the clip and disconnect the water by-pass hose from the water by-pass pipe sub-assembly.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose from the water by-pass pipe sub-assembly.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the heater water outlet hose from the water by-pass pipe sub-assembly.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the heater water inlet hose from the water by-pass pipe sub-assembly.
- Remove the 2 bolts to water by-pass pipe sub-assembly from the intake air surge tank assembly.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose from the water by-pass pipe sub-assembly.
- REMOVE FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE NO. 1 DELIVERY PIPE SPACER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23
- REMOVE INJECTOR VIBRATION INSULATOR
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24
- REMOVE PORT FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25
- DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET
- REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY
- Remove the bolt to disconnect the wire harness bracket from the intake air surge tank assembly.
- Remove the 8 bolts and 2 nuts.
Bolt Nut - Remove the intake air surge tank assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
- Remove the 2 No. 1 intake manifold to head gaskets from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
- Remove the bolt to disconnect the wire harness bracket from the intake air surge tank assembly.
