Removal [03/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [05/2023 - 09/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [05/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [05/2023 - ]

  4. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [05/2023 - ]

  5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to REPLACEMENT [03/2017 - 09/2023] , or refer to REPLACEMENT [09/2023 - ]

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 2 PCV HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 PCV hose from the air cleaner hose assembly.

  7. DISCONNECT NO. 3 PCV HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 PCV hose from the air cleaner hose assembly.

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Loosen the 4 hose clamps and remove the air cleaner hose assembly.

  9. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass hose from the front water by-pass joint.

      *1 No. 4 Water By-pass Hose
      *2 No. 5 Water By-pass Hose
    3. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose from the water inlet housing.
    4. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    5. Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts, throttle body with motor assembly and gasket from the intake air surge tank assembly.

      NOTE:

      If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    6. Slide the 2 clips, remove the No. 4 water by-pass hose and No. 5 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
