Removal [05/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER 

    Refer to REMOVAL [05/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  3. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  5. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER REINFORCEMENT 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and engine under cover reinforcement from the strut bar bracket support sub-assembly.

  6. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  4

  7. DRAIN COOLANT (for Inverter) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  8. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  9. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  11. REMOVE AIR CLEANER WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 6 nuts and No. 2 front bumper reinforcement sub-assembly.

  13. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT EXTENSION LH 
    1. Remove the 3 screws and disconnect the front bumper fender liner LH from the radiator support extension LH.

    2. Remove the 3 screws, detach the 2 claws and remove the radiator support extension LH from the radiator support opening cover.

  14. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT EXTENSION RH 
    1. Remove the 3 screws and disconnect the front fender liner RH from the radiator support extension RH.

    2. Remove the 3 screws, detach the 2 claws and remove the radiator support extension RH from the radiator support opening cover.

  15. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER 
    1. Remove the 4 screws, detach the 3 claws and remove the radiator support opening cover from the front crossmember sub-assembly.

  16. REMOVE VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  17. REMOVE LOWER ARM BRACKET BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  18. REMOVE LOWER ARM BRACKET BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

  19. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  20. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  21. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  22. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  23. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the 3 connector, detach the 3 wire harness clamps to disconnect the engine room main wire from the radiator reserve tank assembly.

    2. Slide the 2 clips and remove the radiator reserve tank hose.

      *1 Radiator Reserve Tank Hose
      *2 Reserve Tank Outlet Hose
      *3 No. 3 Inverter Cooling Hose
    3. Slide the clip and disconnect the reserve tank outlet hose.
    4. Detach the clamp and disconnect the No. 3 inverter cooling hose from the radiator reserve tank assembly.
    5. Remove the 2 bolts and radiator reserve tank assembly from the fan with motor assembly.

  24. REMOVE INVERTER RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  25. REMOVE INVERTER WATER PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  26. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the water outlet sub-assembly.

  27. DISCONNECT NO. 3 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Detach the clamp from the No. 3 radiator hose.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 radiator hose from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
  28. DISCONNECT NO. 6 INVERTER COOLING HOSE

    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 6 inverter cooling hose from the inverter cooling inlet pipe assembly.
  29. DISCONNECT NO. 2 INVERTER COOLING HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  30. DISCONNECT NO. 3 INVERTER COOLING HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  31. DISCONNECT NO. 2 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose from the radiator assembly.

      *b Net Protector
      NOTE:

      Do not remove the No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose while holding the net protector. If force is applied to the net protector, it may cause the No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose to crack and lead to transmission fluid leaks.

  32. DISCONNECT NO. 3 ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps, claw and remove the 2 bolts and No. 3 engine wire.

  33. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSE 
    1. Detach the oil cooler hose from the clamp.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the transmission oil cooler hose from the radiator assembly.

      *b Net Protector
      NOTE:

      Do not remove the transmission oil cooler hose while holding the net protector. If force is applied to the net protector, it may cause the transmission oil cooler hose to crack and lead to transmission fluid leaks.

  34. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER INLET HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the oil cooler inlet hose from the motor cooling cooler.

      *b Net Protector
      NOTE:
      • Do not deform the motor cooling cooler.
      • Do not remove the oil cooler inlet hose while holding the net protector. If force is applied to the net protector, it may cause the oil cooler inlet hose to crack and lead to engine coolant leaks.
  35. DISCONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 
    1. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps, disconnect the 4 connectors and engine room main wire.

  36. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly.

      NOTE:

      Do not allow the cooler condenser assembly to interfere with the radiator assembly.

  37. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT BRACE 
    1. Remove the bolt and hood lock support brace from the front crossmember sub-assembly.

  38. DISCONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY A 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  39. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the discharge hose from the cooler compressor assembly.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

    2. Disconnect the discharge hose from the cooler condenser assembly.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  40. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 2 claws, 2 guides and disconnect the cooler condenser assembly from the radiator assembly.

      NOTE:

      Do not allow the cooler condenser assembly to interfere with the radiator assembly.

    2. Remove the 6 bolts and front crossmember sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Perform the following procedure with 2 or more people to prevent damage to the radiator assembly.

    3. Remove the radiator assembly from the vehicle together with the fan with motor assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
      NOTE:

      When removing the radiator assembly from the vehicle, do not apply excessive force to the cooler pipe or cooling hoses.

  41. REMOVE REAR RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE LH 
    1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the rear radiator side air guide plate LH.

  42. REMOVE NO. 3 INVERTER COOLING HOSE 
    1. Remove the bolt, clip and No. 3 inverter cooling hose from the radiator assembly.

  43. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Detach the clamp and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the fan with motor assembly.

    2. Slide the clip and remove the No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.
  44. REMOVE DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the clamp and remove the discharge hose sub-assembly from the fan with motor assembly.

  45. REMOVE REAR RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE RH 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear radiator side air guide plate RH.

  46. REMOVE NO. 2 INVERTER COOLING HOSE 
    1. Remove the 2 clips, clamp and the No. 2 inverter cooling hose from the radiator assembly.

    1. Detach the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the fan with motor assembly.

    2. Slide the clip and remove the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.
  48. REMOVE FAN WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts, detach the 2 guides and remove the fan with motor assembly from the radiator assembly.

  49. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator assembly.
  50. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Remove the 2 lower radiator supports from the radiator assembly.
  51. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR SUPPORT TO SEAL 
    1. Remove the 2 No. 1 radiator support to seals from the radiator assembly.
  52. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR SUPPORT TO SEAL 
    1. Remove the No. 2 radiator support to seal from the radiator assembly.
  53. REMOVE NO. 3 RADIATOR SUPPORT TO SEAL 
    1. Remove the No. 3 radiator support to seal from the radiator assembly.
  54. REMOVE NO. 4 RADIATOR SUPPORT TO SEAL 
    1. Remove the No. 4 radiator support to seal from the radiator assembly.
  55. REMOVE NO. 5 RADIATOR SUPPORT TO SEAL 
    1. Remove the No. 5 radiator support to seal from the radiator assembly.
