DTC P0750-11: Shift Solenoid "A" Circuit Short to Ground [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE (SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE S1) - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the D2 ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D2-62 (S1) - Body ground 20°C (68°F) 11 to 15 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG

    OK

  2. REPLACE ECM 
    1. Replace the ECM.

      Refer to COMPONENTS [09/2015 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    PERFORM A/T CODE REGISTRATION. Refer to  REGISTRATION [09/2015 - ] 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the D56 transmission wire connector.
    2. Disconnect the D2 ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D56-18 (SR) or D2-62 (S1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - ECM) 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE S1 
    1. Remove the shift solenoid valve S1.

      *1 Shift Solenoid Valve S1

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2015 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Shift solenoid valve S1 connector terminal - Shift solenoid valve S1 body 20°C (68°F) 11 to 15 Ω
    3. Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to the terminal of the solenoid valve connector, and a negative (-) lead to the solenoid body. Check that the valve moves and makes an operating sound.

      OK

      Valve moves and makes an operating sound.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE. Refer to  COMPONENTS [09/2015 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE S1. Refer to  COMPONENTS [09/2015 - 08/2019]  , or refer to  COMPONENTS [08/2019 - ]
