Removal [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PRECAUTION [11/2017 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 08/2016] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2016 - 11/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - 03/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [03/2019 - 01/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [01/2023 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [11/2017 - ]

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.
  7. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the nut and disconnect the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.
  8. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 

    See step  6

  9. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  10. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [11/2017 - ]

  11. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [11/2017 - ]

  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.
    2. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

      *a Protective Tape
      *b Locking Button
      *c Release

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Disconnect the connector.
    4. Remove the 2 bolts and front seat outer belt assembly.

  13. REMOVE OUTER BELT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the guide.
    3. Turn back the floor carpet as shown in the illustration.
    4. Remove the bolt.

    5. Disengage the clip to remove the outer belt anchor bracket sub-assembly.
