Installation [04/2020 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Place the front seat assembly LH in the cabin.
      NOTE:
      • 2 or more people are required when carrying the front seat assembly LH out of the vehicle.
      • Protect the front seat legs.
      • Do not damage the front seat assembly LH, body exterior or interior parts.

    2. Tilt the front seat assembly LH backward.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the front seat assembly LH or interior parts.

    3. Connect the 3 connectors and attach the wire harness protector clamps.

      *a Front Seat Airbag Assembly LH Connector
    4. Connect the front seat airbag assembly LH connector under the front seat assembly LH.
      1. Before connecting the connector, check that the position of the housing lock is correct as shown in the illustration.

      2. Be sure to engage the connectors until they are locked (when locking, make sure that a click sound can be heard).
        NOTE:
        • Be careful not to damage the connector or wire harness of the front seat airbag assembly LH.
        • When connecting the connector, make sure to push it straight in.
        • Do not hold any parts other than the yellow CPA when connecting the connector.
        • If the upper portion of the yellow CPA is held when connecting the connector, the partial connection prevention mechanism will not function due to deformation of the yellow CPA. Therefore, hold the sides of the yellow CPA.
    5. Insert the location pin of the front seat assembly LH on the seat rail front side into the hole on the vehicle side.
    6. Temporarily install the front seat assembly LH with the 4 "TORX" screws.
    7. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2020 - 05/2023]

    8. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to slide the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.
    9. Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 "TORX" screws in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 37 N.m (377 kgf/cm, 27 ft.lbf) 

    10. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to slide the front seat assembly LH to the frontmost position.
    11. Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 "TORX" screws in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 37 N.m (377 kgf/cm, 27 ft.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH 
    1. Slide in the installation direction shown in the illustration to attach the guides.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Attach the guide pin to install the inner seat track bracket cover LH.
  3. INSTALL OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER LH 
    1. Slide in the installation direction (1) shown in the illustration to attach the guides and guide pin.

    2. Push in the installation direction (2) shown in the illustration, attach the claws and install the outer seat track cover LH.
  4. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH 
    1. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to slide the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.
    2. Slide in the installation direction (1) shown in the illustration to attach the guides.

    3. Push in the installation direction (2) shown in the illustration, attach the claws and install the front inner seat track bracket cover LH.
  5. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH 
    1. Slide in the installation direction (1) shown in the illustration to attach the guides.

    2. Push in the installation direction (2) shown in the illustration, attach the claws and install the front outer seat track bracket cover LH.
  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
    1. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to set the seat cushion height of the front seat assembly LH to the uppermost position.
    2. Operate the reclining power seat switch knob to adjust the seatback of the front seat assembly LH to a position where the front seat headrest assembly can be installed.
    3. for Standard Seat Type:
      1. Connect the connector.
    4. While pressing the lock release knob, slowly insert the front seat headrest assembly until it reaches the bottom.
      NOTE:

      Lightly lift the front seat headrest assembly upwards and check that it locks.

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 DECK BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [03/2017 - 01/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [01/2021 - ]

  8. CUSTOMIZE POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM 
    1. Reset the auto tilt away function setting to the previous condition by changing the customize parameter.

      Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [03/2017 - ]

  9. INITIALIZATION OF SEAT ECU 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  10. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [04/2020 - ]

  11. INSPECT SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM 

    Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  12. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [04/2020 - ]

  13. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SYSTEM 

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  14. INSPECT CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  15. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND SENSITIVITY CHECK (for Front Passenger Seat) 

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [03/2017 - ]
