Installation [03/2017 - 05/2023]: Procedure

1. Install the battery.
2. Connect the battery exhaust hose to the battery.
   NOTE:

   After replacing the battery, install the ventilation hole plug supplied with the new battery or the ventilation hole plug from the old battery to the ventilation hole on the side to which the battery hose is not connected.

3. Install the battery clamp sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.

   Torque: 4.9 N.m (50 kgf/cm, 43 in.lbf) 

4. Connect the cable to the positive (+) battery terminal and tighten the nut.

   Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf/cm, 48 in.lbf) 

5. Attach the claw to connect the battery terminal cap.

1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and tighten the nut.

   Torque: 6.4 N.m (65 kgf/cm, 57 in.lbf) 

   NOTE:

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
