On-Vehicle Inspection [03/2017 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM 
    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    2. Press the "Seat/Steering" switch on the multi-display sub menu screen.
    3. Check that each seat climate control blower and seatback climate control blower operates with each press of the ventilation volume switch on the [Setting] screen.
    4. Check that ventilation volume switches in order from AUTO → HI → MID → LO → OFF and that the AUTO indicator light and level indicator light turn on/off with each press of the ventilation volume switch on the [Setting] screen.
    5. Check that the seat blower volume changes according to the level indicator light illumination condition when the ventilation volume switch is operated.

      HINT: 

      • The seat heater operates when set to heating, and the seat blower operates when set to cooling.
      • Ther surface warmth of the seat changes even accodding to the outside temperature. Therefore, check with the outside temperature at a constant temperature.
  2. CHECK LEXUS CLIMATE CONCIERGE (CHECK) 
    1. LEXUS climate concierge control function:
      1. Set the vehicle to the following conditions.

        Inspection Condition

        Item Condition
        Passenger Seat Unoccupied
        Seat Heater AUTO
        Comfortable Air Seat System AUTO
        Heated Steering Wheel System AUTO
      2. Press the "Concierge" switch on the multi-display sub menu screen.
      3. Check that the seat heater (seat air conditioning) and steering wheel heater link with the air conditioning system and operate accordingly when the concierge switch on the "Concierge" screen is pressed.
      4. Check that the seat heater (seat air conditioning) turns off when the passenger seat becomes unoccupied.
      5. When the following conditions are met, check that the LEXUS climate concierge function turns off.
        • AUTO function canceled
        • Operate the air conditioning, seat heater, comfortable air seat or steering wheel heater system manually.
