Installation [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL VACUUM HOSE 
    1. Install the vacuum hose to the intake manifold.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET 
    1. Install a new No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket to the intake manifold.
  3. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD

      Temporarily install the intake manifold and No. 2 fuel delivery guard to the cylinder head sub-assembly with the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.

    2. Tighten the 3 bolts and 2 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 24 N.m (245 kgf/cm, 18 ft.lbf) 

    3. Tighten the bolt.

      Torque: 24 N.m (245 kgf/cm, 18 ft.lbf) 

  4. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD STAY 
    1. Engage the guide to install the intake manifold stay.

    2. Install the bolt (B).

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    3. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, install the bolt (A).

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    4. Engage the clamp to connect the HV air conditioning wire to the No. 1 water hose clamp bracket.
  5. INSTALL BRACKET 
    1. Install the No. 2 water hose clamp bracket to the intake manifold with the bolt.

      *1 Wire Harness Clamp Bracket
      *2 No. 2 Water Hose Clamp Bracket

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    2. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, install the wire harness clamp bracket to the intake manifold with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  6. CONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose to the No. 2 water hose clamp bracket.
  7. CONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS PIPE 
    1. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, connect the No. 3 water by-pass pipe to the intake manifold with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    2. Connect the water by-pass hose to the No. 3 water by-pass pipe and slide the hose clip to secure it.
  8. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Engage the clamp to connect the engine wire to the intake manifold.

    2. Connect the engine wire to the intake manifold with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    3. Engage the 3 clamps to connect the engine wire to the intake manifold and fuel vapor feed pipe.

    4. Connect the engine wire to the fuel delivery guard, intake manifold and timing chain cover assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    5. Connect the 2 connectors.
    6. Connect the No. 3 fuel vapor feed hose to the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.
  9. CONNECT NO. 1 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE 
    1. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose.
    2. Connect the No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose to the intake manifold and slide the hose clip to secure it.
  10. INSTALL E.F.I. VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY (MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  11. INSTALL NO. 1 EGR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  12. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2018 - ]

  13. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [10/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [10/2019 - ]

  14. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2018 - 07/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [07/2022 - ]
