Installation [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

SET EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY
HINT:

Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the EGR valve assembly.

Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2021 - ]
1. Set the EGR valve assembly to the camshaft housing.
  HINT:
  
  At this time, do not install the parts with bolts.
2. Connect the No. 8 water by-pass hose to the EGR valve assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
3. Install the No. 4 water by-pass hose to the EGR valve assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
INSTALL EGR COOLER ASSEMBLY
See step 1

INSTALL EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY

Using the 8 mm socket wrench, install the EGR valve assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)

INSTALL NO. 1 EGR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Install a new EGR inlet gasket to the intake manifold.
2. Install a new EGR valve adapter gasket to the No. 1 EGR pipe sub-assembly.
3. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, install the No. 1 EGR pipe sub-assembly to the intake manifold and EGR valve assembly with the 4 bolts.
  Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
ADD ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2019 - ]
INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2019 - ]
INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
