DTC P0C30-00: Hybrid/EV Battery State of Charge High [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result  Proceed to
      P0C3000 only is output. A
      DTCs except P0C3000 are output. B
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2018 - ]

  2. CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR (IGCT VOLTAGE) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR - HV BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) 

    Refer to DTC P0ABF-11: Hybrid/EV Battery Current Sensor "A" Circuit Short to Ground; DTC P0ABF15: Hybrid/EV Battery Current Sensor "A" Circuit Short to Auxiliary Battery or Open; DTC P1CBB12: Hybrid/EV Battery Current Sensor Power Supply Circuit Short to Auxiliary Battery; DTC P1CBB14: Hybrid/EV Battery Current Sensor Power Supply Circuit Short to Ground or Open [10/2018 - ]

  4. CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR (VIB VOLTAGE)

  5. CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR (GIB - GND)

  6. CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU (HYBRID BATTERY CURRENT) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
      NOTE:

      During the inspection, make sure to only turn the power switch on (IG). Do not turn the power switch on (READY).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Hybrid Battery Current, Hybrid Battery Current for Hybrid Battery Control.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Data List 

      Tester Display
      Hybrid/EV Battery Current
      Hybrid/EV Battery Current for Hybrid/EV Battery Control
    4. With the power switch on (IG), monitor Data List item "Hybrid Battery Current" and "Hybrid Battery Current for Hybrid Battery Control" for 1 minute.

      Result

      Result  Proceed to
      The value of Data List item "Hybrid Battery Current" and "Hybrid Battery Current for Hybrid Battery Control" is -0.5 A or less or 0.5 A or more.  A
      Other than above  B
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    Result: 

    REPLACE BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]  Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]  Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ] 

  7. CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR (VIB VOLTAGE) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9
