Installation [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure

  1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR AXLE CARRIER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Temporarily install the rear axle carrier sub-assembly to the rear upper control arm assembly with the bolt (B) and nut (C).

      NOTE:
      • Insert the bolt (B) with the threaded end facing the rear of the vehicle.
      • Because the nut (C) has its own stopper, do not turn the nut (C). Tighten the bolt (B) with the nut (C) secured.
    2. Temporarily install the rear shock absorber assembly to the rear axle carrier sub-assembly with the nut (D).
      NOTE:

      Hold the rear axle carrier pin while rotating the nut (D).

    3. Install the rear trailing arm assembly to the rear axle carrier sub-assembly with the 2 bolts (A).

      Torque: 135 N.m (1377 kgf/cm, 100 ft.lbf)

  2. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. INSTALL REAR LOWER COIL SPRING INSULATOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. INSTALL REAR UPPER COIL SPRING INSULATOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. INSTALL REAR COIL SPRING 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  6. STABILIZE SUSPENSION 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  7. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  8. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  9. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY 
    1. for Rear Axle Carrier Side:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  10. INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  11. INSTALL REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  12. INSTALL REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Height Control Sensor) 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2018 - ]

  13. INSTALL FLEXIBLE HOSE BRACKET 
    1. Install the flexible hose bracket to the rear axle carrier sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 29 N.m (296 kgf/cm, 21 ft.lbf) 

  14. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY 

    See step  1

  15. CONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE 

    See step  6

  16. INSTALL REAR DISC 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  17. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY 

    See step  9

  18. INSTALL REAR WHEEL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2018 - ]

  19. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY 
    1. for Rear Suspension Member Side:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  20. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH (for LH Side) 
    1. Engage the clip to install the rear floor side member cover LH.
    2. Install the clip.
    3. Install the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

  21. INSTALL NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 
    1. Engage the clip to install the No. 1 floor under cover assembly.
    2. Install the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

  22. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (for HV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  23. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  24. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL (for HV Model) 

    Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE [10/2018 - ]

  25. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL (for Gasoline Model) 

    Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  26. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    Parking Assist Monitor System Refer to CALIBRATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]
    Lighting System (EXT) Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2020 - ]
