Disassembly [08/2016 - 03/2018]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [12/2017 - 08/2019]
- REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [12/2017 - 08/2019]
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG
- REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL
- Apply protective tape to the rear door armrest assembly as shown in the illustration.
Protective Tape - Raise the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door upper armrest base panel using the moulding remover D as shown in the illustration.
Move in this Direction - While holding the moulding remover D, disengage the claw using the moulding remover E or equivalent as shown in the illustration.
Insert Moulding Remover E or Equivalent Here - - - While holding the moulding remover D, disengage the claw using the moulding remover E or equivalent as shown in the illustration.
Insert Moulding Remover E or Equivalent Here - - - Disconnect the connector to remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door upper armrest base panel.
- Apply protective tape to the rear door armrest assembly as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST COVER
- REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Apply protective tape to the rear door panel as shown in the illustration.
Protective Tape - Remove the 3 screws.
- Using a clip remover, disengage the 10 clips.
- w/o Rear Door Sunshade:
- w/ Rear Door Sunshade:
- Disconnect each connector.
- Disconnect the rear door lock remote control cable assembly from the rear door inside handle sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction - Disengage the 2 clamps.
Remove in this Direction *a Push - Disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration to disconnect the rear door inside locking cable assembly and remove the rear door trim board sub-assembly.
- Apply protective tape to the rear door panel as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK CONTROL KNOB BEZEL
- REMOVE REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP
- REMOVE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
- REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 2 TRIM BRACKET
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
- REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE CURTAIN HOOK (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both curtain hooks.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
- REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT BELT SEAL
- REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN
- REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR GUIDE SEAL
- REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the hole plug.
- Connect the rear power window regulator switch assembly.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Move the rear door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Disconnect the rear power window regulator switch assembly.
- Remove the 2 bolts.NOTE:
Do not damage the rear door glass sub-assembly.
- Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Do not damage the rear door glass sub-assembly.
Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2)
- Remove the hole plug.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH
- REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY
- Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear door No. 2 service hole cover.
- Loosen the temporary bolt.NOTE:
Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the rear door window regulator assembly may fall and cause damage.
*a Temporary Bolt - Remove the 5 bolts.
- Remove the rear door window regulator assembly.
- Remove the temporary bolt from the rear door window regulator assembly.
- Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear door No. 2 service hole cover.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
- Disengage the 2 claws.
- Using a screwdriver, disconnect the connector.
- Disengage the 2 claws and move the lever as shown in the illustration.
Disengage in this Direction - Remove the rear door outside handle assembly as shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2)
- Disengage the 2 claws.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER
- REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
- REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE REAR DOOR PANEL CUSHION
- REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY
