Removal [10/2020 - 11/2021]: Procedure

  1. AIR SUSPENSION CONTROL PROHIBITED (w/ Air Suspension) 

    Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - ]

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE OIL PAN PROTECTOR 
    1. for 2WD:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

    2. for AWD:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  6. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  7. DRAIN COOLANT (for Inverter) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  8. REMOVE POP UP HOOD LIFTER ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2020 - 11/2021]

  9. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the headlight assembly LH.

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2020 - 11/2021]

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR 
    1. Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Detach the clamp and remove the hood lock release lever protector.
  12. REMOVE ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH (HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  13. REMOVE HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  14. REMOVE LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  15. REMOVE LOWER ARM BRACKET BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and lower arm bracket brace sub-assembly RH.

  16. REMOVE LOWER ARM BRACKET BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and lower arm bracket brace sub-assembly LH.

  17. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and radiator support to crossmember brace sub-assembly RH.

  18. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and radiator support to crossmember brace sub-assembly LH.

  19. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Detach the clamp and disconnect the engine room main wire.

      Remove the screw.

    4. Detach the clamp and disconnect the hood lock control cover LH.
    5. Remove the screw.

    6. Detach the clamp and disconnect the hood lock control cover RH.
    7. Detach the clamp.

      Remove in this Direction
      Bolt
      Sub-Radiator Support Cushion
    8. Remove the 5 bolts.
    9. While lifting the upper radiator support sub-assembly upwards, detach the 2 sub-radiator support cushions and remove the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the upper radiator support sub-assembly, do not damage the cooler condenser assembly, radiator assembly (for inverter coolant) and radiator assembly.

  20. DISCONNECT NO. 2 INVERTER COOLING HOSE 
    1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the hose clip and slide the hose clip to disconnect the No. 2 inverter cooling hose.
      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force to the radiator assembly (for inverter coolant) or No. 2 inverter cooling hose.
      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

  21. DISCONNECT NO. 3 INVERTER COOLING HOSE 
    1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the hose clip and slide the hose clip to disconnect the No. 3 inverter cooling hose.
      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force to the radiator assembly (for inverter coolant) or No. 3 inverter cooling hose.
      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

  22. DISCONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY A 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect liquid tube sub-assembly A and No. 1 cooler bracket from the cooler condenser assembly.

      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force to the liquid tube sub-assembly A.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the liquid tube sub-assembly A.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  23. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the cooler condenser assembly.

      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force to the discharge hose sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  24. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the claw.

    2. While lifting the cooler condenser assembly in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration, detach the guide and remove the cooler condenser assembly and radiator assembly (for inverter coolant).

      Remove in this Direction
      NOTE:
      • When removing the cooler condenser assembly and radiator assembly (for inverter coolant), do not damage the cooler condenser assembly, radiator assembly (for inverter coolant) and radiator assembly.
      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
    3. Remove the 2 bolts and the radiator assembly (for inverter coolant) from the cooler condenser assembly.
