Removal [10/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [09/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [09/2019 - 10/2020]

  2. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 
    1. Detach the 7 clips to remove the upper radiator support seal.

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE 
    1. Detach the 7 clips to remove the radiator cover plate.

  4. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 
    1. Detach the 7 clips to remove the lower radiator air deflector.

  5. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and radiator support to crossmember brace sub-assembly LH.

  6. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and radiator support to crossmember brace sub-assembly RH.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE (for 2WD) 
    1. Remove the engine oil level dipstick from the No. 2 engine oil level dipstick guide.
    2. Remove the bolt and No. 2 engine oil level dipstick guide.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the No. 2 engine oil level dipstick guide.
  10. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 112 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 112 [09/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 112 [09/2019 - 10/2020]

  11. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON INSULATOR LH 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and front fender apron insulator LH.

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [09/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [09/2019 - 10/2020]

  13. REMOVE TRANSMISSION UNDER COVER (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [09/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [09/2019 - 10/2020]

  14. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [09/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [09/2019 - 10/2020]

  15. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [09/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [09/2019 - 10/2020]

  16. REMOVE STRUT BAR BRACKET SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [09/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [09/2019 - 10/2020]

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [09/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [09/2019 - 10/2020]

  18. REMOVE TRANSMISSION UNDER COVER (for AWD)

  19. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for AWD)

  20. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE (for AWD)

    1. Detach the 4 clips to remove the engine side cover RH.

  33. REMOVE NO. 1 EGR PIPE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [09/2018 - 10/2020]

  34. DISCONNECT AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR 
    WARNING:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

    1. for Bank 1 Sensor 1:
      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.
    2. for Bank 1 Sensor 2:
      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.
    3. for Bank 2 Sensor 1:

        Disconnect the connector.

      2. Detach the 4 wire harness clamps.
    4. for Bank 2 Sensor 2:
      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.
  35. REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  36. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY LH (for 2WD) 
    WARNING:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

    1. Remove the 4 nuts, exhaust manifold assembly LH and gasket.

    2. Using SST, remove the 2 air fuel ratio sensors from the exhaust manifold assembly LH.

  37. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY LH (for AWD) 
    WARNING:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

    1. Remove the 4 nuts, exhaust manifold assembly LH and gasket.

    2. Using SST, remove the 2 air fuel ratio sensors from the exhaust manifold assembly LH.

  38. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY RH (for 2WD) 
    WARNING:

    1. Remove the 4 nuts, exhaust manifold assembly RH and gasket.
