Removal [10/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - ]

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28 [10/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [10/2023 - ]

  3. LOOSEN FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

      *a Matchmark

      Put matchmarks on the transfer companion flange and front propeller shaft.

    2. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, loosen the 6 bolts.
      NOTE:

      To prevent the front propeller shaft assembly from falling, only loosen the bolts. Do not remove them.

      Put matchmarks on the front differential companion flange and front propeller shaft.

    4. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, loosen the 6 bolts.
      NOTE:

      To prevent the front propeller shaft assembly from falling, only loosen the bolts. Do not remove them.

  4. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING MEMBER 
    1. Support the transfer assembly with a transmission jack.

      NOTE:

      Do not install the adjustable attachment and plate lift attachment to the transmission oil pan.

      Remove the 6 bolts.

      Remove the 5 nuts and rear engine mounting member, and remove the rear engine mounting member from the automatic transmission assembly.

  5. REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 12 bolts, 4 universal joint washers.
    2. Remove the front propeller shaft assembly from the companion flanges.
      NOTE:

      Do not bend the front propeller shaft at an excessive angle.
