Removal [10/2017 - 09/2018]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - 09/2019]

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  6. REMOVE SEMICONDUCTOR POWER INTEGRATION ECU (w/ PTC Heater) 
    1. Disconnect the power source connector.

      NOTE:
      • Make sure the connector terminal is free from oil and grease.
      • Do not subject the semiconductor power integration ECU to any impact.
      • Do not use a semiconductor power integration ECU that has been dropped.
      • Do not disassemble the semiconductor power integration ECU.
    2. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw and disconnect the lever connector.

      Rotate in this Direction
      Protective Tape
      NOTE:
      • Make sure the connector terminal is free from oil and grease.
      • Do not subject the semiconductor power integration ECU to any impact.
      • Do not use a semiconductor power integration ECU that has been dropped.
      • Do not disassemble the semiconductor power integration ECU.
    3. Remove the bolt, detach the guide and remove the semiconductor power integration ECU.
      NOTE:
      • Make sure the connector terminal is free from oil and grease.
      • Do not subject the semiconductor power integration ECU to any impact.
      • Do not use a semiconductor power integration ECU that has been dropped.
      • Do not disassemble the semiconductor power integration ECU.
  7. REMOVE SEMICONDUCTOR POWER INTEGRATION ECU (w/o PTC Heater) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the semiconductor power integration ECU (w/ PTC Heater).
