Installation [10/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL DISC BRAKE AIR GUIDE PLATE 
    1. Install disc brake air guide plate to the steering knuckle LH.
  2. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using a hexagon socket wrench 12 mm, install the front axle hub sub-assembly LH with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 80 N.m (816 kgf/cm, 59 ft.lbf) 

  3. CONNECT STEERING KNUCKLE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  4. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN LOWER NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

      Insert the bolt from the back of the vehicle. Then temporarily tighten the lower No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH with the nut.

  5. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER ASSEMBLY WITH SHOCK ABSORBER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. CONNECT FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  7. CONNECT FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  8. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

      Temporarily tighten the front lower suspension arm assembly LH to the steering knuckle assembly LH with the nut.

  9. CONNECT TIE ROD ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  10. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE DUST COVER LH 
    1. Install the front disc brake dust cover LH with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  11. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS 

    See step  7 [10/2020 - 11/2021], or see step  7 [11/2021 - 10/2022]

  12. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB RUNOUT 

    See step  8 [10/2020 - 11/2021], or see step  8 [11/2021 - 10/2022]

  13. INSTALL FRONT DISC LH 
  14. CONNECT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

      Temporarily install the 5 hub nuts to the front axle hub LH to secure the front disc LH.

      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force to the flexible hose.

    2. Temporarily install the disc brake cylinder assembly LH with the bolt on the lower side of the disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
    3. Remove the SST.
    4. Install the disc brake cylinder assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 135 N.m (1377 kgf/cm, 100 ft.lbf) 

    5. Install the front flexible hose bracket LH to the steering knuckle with the bolt.

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    6. Connect the flexible hose to the front flexible hose bracket LH with the bolt.

      Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    7. for RH side:

        Attach the guide to connect the pad wear indicator wire assembly.

  15. CONNECT FRONT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE

      1. Install the sensor clamp with the bolt.

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Do not twist the skid control sensor wire when installing it.

      2. Connect the skid control sensor wire connector.
    2. for RH Side:

      1. Install the sensor clamp with the bolt.

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Do not twist the skid control sensor wire when installing it.

      2. Connect the skid control sensor wire connector.
      3. Connect the pad wear indicator connector.
    3. Install the sensor clamp with the nut.

      Torque: 8.5 N.m (87 kgf/cm, 75 in.lbf)

      NOTE:

      Do not twist the skid control sensor wire when installing it.

  16. STABILIZE SUSPENSION 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  17. FULLY TIGHTEN LOWER NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Tighten the installation bolt of the lower No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH.

      Torque: 130 N.m (1326 kgf/cm, 96 ft.lbf) 

  18. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Tighten the installation nut of the steering knuckle assembly LH.

      Torque: 145 N.m (1479 kgf/cm, 107 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Further tighten the nut up to 60° if the holes for the clip are not aligned.

    2. Install a new clip.
  19. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER ASSEMBLY WITH SHOCK ABSORBER LH 
    1. Fully tighten the front pneumatic cylinder assembly with shock absorber LH bolt.

      Torque: 110 N.m (1122 kgf/cm, 81 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

  20. INSTALL REAR LOWER ARM MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  21. INSTALL ENGINE SIDE COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  22. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 144

  23. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  24. CONNECT BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP CONNECTOR (w/o Advanced Park) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2021 - 10/2023]

  25. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Advanced Park) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2021 - 10/2023]

  26. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL 

    Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE [10/2020 - 10/2023]

  27. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2020 - 10/2023]

  28. INSPECT AND ADJUST VEHICLE HEIGHT (w/ Air Suspension) 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2020 - 10/2023]

  29. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Advanced Park) 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to WORK PROCEDURE [11/2021 - 10/2022]

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

  30. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022] 

  31. ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2020 - ]
