Removal [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2023 - ]

    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative(-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

  4. REMOVE SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

  5. REMOVE TILT AND TELESCOPIC SWITCH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  6. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  7. REMOVE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  8. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL SWITCH HOUSING 
    1. Using pliers, support the band clamp while loosened.

      Remove in this Direction
      Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and pull the steering wheel switch housing toward the rear of the vehicle to remove it.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
