Removal [08/2016 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ]

  2. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [12/2017 - 08/2019]

  4. REMOVE ECM 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - 08/2019]

  5. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to REMOVAL [12/2017 - 08/2019]

  6. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  7. REMOVE BATTERY 

    for 2WD: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

    for AWD: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  8. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    for 2WD: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [12/2017 - 08/2019]

    for AWD: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [12/2017 - 08/2019]

  9. REMOVE BATTERY BRACKET REINFORCEMENT 

    for 2WD: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [12/2017 - 08/2019]

    for AWD: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [12/2017 - 08/2019]

  10. REMOVE FUEL PUMP PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [12/2017 - 08/2019]

  11. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET 

    for 2WD: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [12/2017 - 08/2019]

    for AWD: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [12/2017 - 08/2019]

  12. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - 08/2019]

  13. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 

    See step  15

  14. INSTALL ENGINE SUPPORT BRIDGE 

    for 2WD: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33 [12/2017 - 08/2019]

    for AWD: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34 [12/2017 - 08/2019]

  15. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [12/2017 - 08/2019]

  16. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the bolt and separate the cooler bracket from the engine mounting insulator sub-assembly RH.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts and separate the engine mounting insulator sub-assembly RH from the front No. 1 engine mounting bracket LH.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and engine mounting insulator sub-assembly RH.

  17. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING SPACER

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and engine mounting spacer.
  18. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly connector.

    2. Remove the bolt to disconnect the engine wire.
  19. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  20. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose.

  21. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the water by-pass hose.

  22. REMOVE WATER INLET WITH THERMOSTAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the gasket from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
