Installation [10/2014 - 05/2019]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Install the 2 lower radiator supports.
  2. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the radiator assembly to the fan shroud with fan with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 10.5 N*m (107 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not damage the core of the radiator assembly.

  3. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY WITH FAN 
    1. Move the LH side of the intercooler cooling radiator assembly and condenser assembly toward the front of the vehicle and install the radiator assembly with fan.

      *1 Radiator Assembly with Fan
      *2 Intercooler Cooling Radiator Assembly
      *3 Condenser Assembly
      NOTE:
      • Do not apply any excessive force to the intercooler cooling radiator assembly, condenser assembly and cooler pipe.
      • Do not move the intercooler cooling radiator assembly and condenser assembly LH toward the front of the vehicle more than necessary.
  4. CONNECT INTERCOOLER RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the intercooler reservoir assembly to the fan shroud with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf) 

  5. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Connect the 2 connectors and attach the 7 clamps to connect the wire harness.
  6. CONNECT NO. 2 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the No. 2 intercooler cooling water hose assembly to the intercooler cooling radiator assembly, and slide the clip to secure the hose.
    2. Attach the 3 clamps.
  7. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly, and slide the clip to secure the hose.
  8. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly, and slide the clip to secure the hose.
    2. Attach the clamp.
  9. CONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 2 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly, and slide the clip to secure the hose.
  10. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly with the 6 bolts.

      *a Bolt A
      *b Bolt B

      for bolt A 

      Torque: 99 N*m (1010 kgf*cm, 73 ft.*lbf) 

      for bolt B 

      Torque: 95 N*m (969 kgf*cm, 70 ft.*lbf) 

  11. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [10/2014 - 05/2019]

  12. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [10/2014 - 05/2019]

  13. INSTALL NO. 2 FAN SHROUD 
    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 2 fan shroud.
    2. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 10.5 N*m (107 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf) 

  14. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS PIPE 
    1. Insert the protrusion of the water by-pass pipe into the hole of the No. 2 fan shroud.

      *a Protrusion
    2. Attach the 3 clamps to install the water by-pass pipe.
    3. Connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly, and slide the clip to secure hose.
  15. CONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Connect the water by-pass hose to the radiator reservoir assembly, and slide the clip to secure hose.
  16. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 5 bolts.

      *a Bolt A
      *b Bolt B

      for bolt A 

      Torque: 31 N*m (316 kgf*cm, 23 ft.*lbf) 

      for bolt B 

      Torque: 12.5 N*m (127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

    2. w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System:

      Attach the 3 clamps.

    3. w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System:

      Attach the 2 clamps.

    4. Connect the 2 connectors.
  17. CONNECT HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the hood lock assembly.
    2. Attach the clamp and connect the hood lock assembly to the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

    3. Attach the 5 clamps and connect the connector.
  18. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Install the 2 upper radiator supports and 2 radiator support cushions with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf) 

  19. INSTALL FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE LH 
    1. Attach the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration to install the front radiator side air guide plate LH.

  20. CONNECT FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE RH 
    1. Attach the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration to install the front radiator side air guide plate RH.

    2. Attach the clamp to connect the thermistor assembly to the front radiator side air guide plate RH.
  21. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2014 - 09/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2017 - 05/2019]

  22. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY 
  23. INSTALL BATTERY 
  24. INSTALL BATTERY INSULATOR 
  25. INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2014 - 05/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [05/2018 - 05/2019]

  26. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 96 [10/2014 - 05/2019]

  27. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 97 [10/2014 - 05/2019]

  28. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (except Sport Package) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 98 [10/2014 - 05/2019]

  29. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for Sport Package) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 99 [10/2014 - 05/2019]

  30. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  31. CONNECT CABLE TO POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  32. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2014 - 09/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2017 - 05/2019]

  33. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  2

  34. ADD COOLANT (for Intercooler) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2014 - ]

  35. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2014 - ]

  36. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Intercooler) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2014 - ]

  37. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2014 - 09/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2017 - 05/2019]
