Installation [10/2020 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN LOWER NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Temporarily tighten the lower No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH to the steering knuckle assembly LH with the nut.

    2. Insert the bolt from the back of the vehicle. Then temporarily tighten the lower No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH with the nut.

  2. CONNECT STEERING KNUCKLE ASSEMBLY LH 

    See step  9

  3. CONNECT TIE ROD ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Temporarily tighten the front shock absorber assembly LH to the lower No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH with the bolt and nut.
      NOTE:
      • Insert the bolt from the rear of the vehicle.
      • Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

  5. CONNECT FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  6. CONNECT FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. INSTALL FRONT DISC LH 
  8. CONNECT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  9. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Insert the bolt from the front of the vehicle. Temporarily install the front lower suspension arm assembly LH with the nut.

    2. Temporarily tighten the front lower suspension arm assembly LH to the steering knuckle assembly LH with the nut.

  10. STABILIZE SUSPENSION 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  11. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the front shock absorber assembly LH.

  12. FULLY TIGHTEN LOWER NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Tighten the installation bolt of the lower No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH.

      Torque: 130 N.m (1326 kgf/cm, 96 ft.lbf) 

    2. Tighten the installation nut of the steering knuckle assembly LH.

      Torque: 145 N.m (1479 kgf/cm, 107 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Further tighten the nut up to 60° if the holes for the clip are not aligned.

    3. Install a new clip.
  13. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Tighten the installation bolt of the front lower suspension arm assembly LH.

      Torque: 130 N.m (1326 kgf/cm, 96 ft.lbf) 

    2. Tighten the installation nut of the steering knuckle assembly LH.

      Torque: 145 N.m (1479 kgf/cm, 107 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Further tighten the nut up to 60° if the holes for the clip are not aligned.

    3. Install a new clip.
  14. INSTALL REAR LOWER ARM MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Install the rear lower arm mounting reinforcement sub-assembly LH with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 16 N.m (163 kgf/cm, 12 ft.lbf)

  15. INSTALL ENGINE SIDE COVER LH 
    1. Install the engine side cover LH with the 4 clips and clamp.

  16. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the No. 2 engine under cover assembly with the 10 new bolts, 4 screws and clip.

      Bolt 

      Torque: 7.9 N.m (81 kgf/cm, 70 in.lbf)

  17. INSTALL TRANSMISSION UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 145

  18. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2017 - 10/2023]

  19. CONNECT BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP CONNECTOR (w/o Advanced Park) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2021 - 10/2023]

  20. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Advanced Park) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2021 - 10/2023]

  21. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Advanced Park) 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to WORK PROCEDURE [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to WORK PROCEDURE [10/2022 - ]

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

  22. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2020 - 10/2023]

  23. INSPECT AND ADJUST VEHICLE HEIGHT (w/ Air Suspension) 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2020 - 10/2023]

  24. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to WORK PROCEDURE [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to WORK PROCEDURE [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  25. ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2020 - ]
