DTC P0ABF-00: Hybrid/EV Battery Current Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance [08/2020 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY ECU ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 HV SUPPLY STACK SUB-ASSEMBLY) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.NOTE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Remove the No. 1 HV battery hose.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2020 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [09/2022 - ]
- Disconnect the A No. 1 HV supply stack sub-assembly connector.NOTE:
Before disconnecting the connector, check that it is not loose or disconnected.
- Disconnect the y16 battery ECU assembly connector.NOTE:
Before disconnecting the connector, check that it is not loose or disconnected.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the tables below.

- PERFORM ROAD TEST
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Hybrid/EV Battery SOC.
Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Data List
Tester Display Hybrid/EV Battery SOC - Check that "Hybrid/EV Battery SOC" shows 60% or less.
HINT:
If "Hybrid/EV Battery SOC" is 60% or more, reduce it to below 60% by leaving the hybrid system on with shift lever in N.
- Apply the parking brake and secure the wheels using chocks.
- Turn the power switch on (READY).
- Move the shift lever to D while depressing the brake pedal with your left foot and repeat the following steps for 1 minute or more.
HINT:
Depress and release the accelerator pedal in 5-second intervals (2.5 seconds each) continuously.
- While depressing the brake pedal with your left foot, depress the accelerator pedal with your right foot.
- Release the accelerator pedal.
- Turn the power switch off.
