Removal [08/2016 - 03/2018]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION WARNING:

NOTE:After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [12/2017 - 08/2019]
- REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [12/2017 - 08/2019]
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTE:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH LH

- DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

- REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

- REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ORNAMENT

- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT FINISH PANEL SUB

- REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY WARNING:
When storing the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.
Deployment Side - Check that the power switch is off.
- Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
*a Hook *b Guide - Disengage the 3 claws, hook and 2 guides to separate the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.NOTE:
When separating the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly, do not pull the airbag wire harness.
*a Protective Tape *b Airbag Connector *c Airbag Connector Lock Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, release the airbag connector lock.
- Disconnect the airbag connector to remove the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.NOTE:
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
