Removal [08/2016 - 12/2017]: Procedure
- REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY
- Remove the tonneau cover assembly.
- REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY
- Remove the deck board assembly.
- REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD
- Remove the rear No. 3 floor board.
- REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX
- REMOVE REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD
- REMOVE FRONT DECK FLOOR BOX
- REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX RH
- REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
- Disengage the claw as shown in the illustration.
Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction HINT:
Use the same procedure for the front side and rear side.
- Disengage the 8 claws and 2 guides to remove the front door scuff plate LH as shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction - w/ Illumination:
- Disconnect the connector.
- Disengage the claw as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
- Apply protective tape around the front pillar garnish LH as shown in the illustration.
Protective Tape - Pull the upper part of the front pillar garnish LH toward the inside of the cabin to disengage the clip and the front pillar garnish LH from the base of the front pillar garnish clip.
HINT:
Let the front pillar garnish LH hang from the front pillar garnish clip.
*1 Front Pillar Garnish Clip Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction - Cut off the front pillar garnish clip as shown in the illustration.
*1 Front Pillar Garnish Clip *a Cut NOTE:Replace the front pillar garnish clip with a new one.
- Using a clip remover, remove the front pillar garnish clip from the vehicle body.
- Disengage the guide to remove the front pillar garnish LH as shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction - Remove the clip from the front pillar garnish LH.
- Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.
*1 Curtain Shield Airbag Assembly LH *a Protective Cover *b Adhesive Tape - Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a piece of cloth or nylon and secure the edges of the cover with tape as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish LH is removed.
- Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a piece of cloth or nylon and secure the edges of the cover with tape as shown in the illustration.
- Apply protective tape around the front pillar garnish LH as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
- REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH
- Pull the lower center pillar garnish LH in the directions indicated by the arrows (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 claws (A).
*a Claw (A) *b Claw (B) Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Pull the lower center pillar garnish LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the guide and 3 claws (B).
- Disengage the 5 clips to remove the lower center pillar garnish LH as shown in the illustration.
Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction
- Pull the lower center pillar garnish LH in the directions indicated by the arrows (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 claws (A).
- DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH
- Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
- Disengage the clip as shown in the illustration.
Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction - Disengage the guide to remove the center pillar garnish assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction - Remove the clip from the center pillar garnish assembly LH.
- Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

- Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.
Insert Moulding Remover Here Remove in this Direction - Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.
Insert Moulding Remover Here Remove in this Direction - Disengage the claw to remove the reclining remote control bezel RH.
Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction
- Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE FOLD SEAT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Power Seat System)

HINT:
Use the same procedure for all assist grip assemblies.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the assist grip cover LH.

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- Disengage the 2 clips to remove the assist grip assembly.
Remove in this Direction - Remove the 2 clips from the vehicle body.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the assist grip cover LH.
- REMOVE REAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the assist grip assembly.
- REMOVE REAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the assist grip assembly.
- REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER (for LH Side)
- REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH
- Remove the 2 screws.
- Pull the visor assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disconnect it from the visor holder.
*1 Visor Holder Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Pull the visor assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to remove it.
- Remove the 2 screws.
- REMOVE VISOR HOLDER (for LH Side)
- REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER (for RH Side)

- Disengage the 10 claws, 3 clips and 2 fasteners.
- for Sliding Roof:

- Disengage the 10 claws, 3 clips, 8 fasteners and guide.
- for Panoramic Moon Roof:
*a Fastener *b Guide - Disconnect the 2 connectors.
- Disengage the 10 claws, 3 clips, 13 fasteners and guide.
- Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the back door as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or vehicle interior.
