Removal [12/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. AIR SUSPENSION CONTROL PROHIBITED (w/ Air Suspension) 

    Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2017 - ]

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE TRANSMISSION UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [10/2023 - ]

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [10/2023 - ]

  5. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [10/2023 - ]

  6. REMOVE STRUT BAR BRACKET SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2023 - ]

  7. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID 
    1. Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the drain plug from the automatic transmission oil pan sub-assembly and drain the automatic transmission fluid.

      NOTE:

      The overflow plug and drain plug are located nearby one another. Make sure not to remove the incorrect plug.

      *1 Drain Plug
      *2 Overflow Plug
      Front of Vehicle
    2. Remove the O-ring from the drain plug.
    3. Install a new O-ring to the drain plug.
    4. Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, install the drain plug to automatic transmission oil pan sub-assembly.

      Torque: 40 N.m (408 kgf/cm, 30 ft.lbf) 

  8. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2023 - ]

  9. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2023 - ]

  10. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2023 - ]

  11. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2023 - ]

  12. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  13. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSS MEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40 [10/2023 - ]

  14. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44 [10/2023 - ]

  15. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30

  16. REMOVE WATER INLET HOSE 
    1. Detach the water inlet hose from the clamp.

    2. Slide the 2 hose clips and remove the water inlet hose from the oil cooler assembly and No. 3 radiator hose.
      NOTE:

      Do not deform the oil cooler assembly.

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE 
    1. Slide the 2 hose clips and remove the No. 1 oil cooler outlet hose from the oil cooler assembly and No. 1 oil cooler outlet tube.

      NOTE:

      Do not deform the oil cooler assembly.

  18. REMOVE NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE

    1. Slide the 2 hose clips and remove the No. 1 oil cooler inlet hose from the oil cooler assembly and No. 1 oil cooler inlet tube.
      NOTE:

      Do not deform the oil cooler assembly.

  19. REMOVE NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Detach the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the clamp.

    2. Slide the 2 hose clips and remove No. 1 water by-pass hose from the oil cooler assembly and water outlet sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not deform the oil cooler assembly.

  20. REMOVE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 bolts and oil cooler assembly.

  21. REMOVE OIL COOLER BRACKET 
    1. Disconnect the wire harness from the oil cooler bracket.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and oil cooler bracket.
